Here at Intelligent Ink, we believe everyone has an untold story – and we exist to tell those stories. For us, it’s all about finding the magic – the extraordinary – in what you find commonplace.

From there, we craft your story, bottling up the essence of what you do and what makes you ‘you’ – then sharing that with the people who matter to you.

Content creates connections – and people today understand how powerful that can be. Far from being unquantifiable or something extra, stories have been our lifeblood for years, so we’ve got the background and the reputation that see us leading the way.

For us, it’s all about doing clever things with words. We aren’t limited by channel or format and use our content marketing nous to both create and share your stories.

We strive to foster beautiful relationships with our clients and know how to ask the questions that uncover exactly what makes you tick – the whispers around the watercooler, the things you intrinsically know and think ‘go without saying’ – weaving that into something exceptional, something worth celebrating.

Our story has seen us grow from a one-woman home office, to a talented team in the heart of Auckland City to our gorgeous new space in Ponsonby. It’s been an incredible ride so far, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds. We hope that you’ll be a part of that journey, and that we can be part of yours.

We all love a good story, whether they are written to inform, educate, persuade or just to entertain. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been in love with stories – both reading and writing them. My girlfriend and I challenged each other to read the entire Top 100 list, and then did it and my husband loves the fact that I always have a pen and paper in the bottomless pit of my handbag (along with all the other essentials!) I maintain though that you never know where (or when) inspiration might strike – and I tend to find that the best ideas come in the midst of living.

I started Intelligent Ink in 2010 following experience in both agencies and in-house corporate communications roles. From humble beginnings in a home office with our first furry Inker, Jazz – what began as a passion for telling people’s positive stories and helping them put their best side out there, soon became a real, living and breathing thing that we could be proud of.

At Intelligent Ink, we punch above our weight and add real value to our clients’ businesses. We’re inspired to reach our potential and we get a real kick out of exceeding expectations.  We have an incredible team who value real connections and are always willing to go the extra mile, and we still enjoy the occasional visit in the office by Jazz.

Growing up, I changed my mind about what I wanted to be a thousand times – after all, why couldn’t I be a writer, a singer, a teacher, AND a fudge-maker all at the same time? Luckily, working at Intelligent Ink allows me to wear many hats and keeps me constantly on my toes.

Given my love of languages and the written word (I studied French and Spanish at the University of Auckland and have had my nose in a book for as long as I can remember), it isn’t surprising that I ended up working surrounded by words. Being able to tell people’s stories and help fantastic businesses communicate better is endlessly rewarding, and the fact that my debating background means I’m able to argue anyone’s case through compelling sales copy is a lucky coincidence.

Being part of a company like Intelligent Ink allows me to let out my creativity, as well as indulge my worrying addiction to planning and creating logical systems (even if the others don’t always like them!) Even better, it also gives me the flexibility to sing to my heart’s desire in musicals (now if only I could stop singing to my food…)

With the rest of my time at Intelligent Ink spent managing the team, it’s lucky that the Inkers are a bunch of funny, talented women. I love helping the rest of the team do their best work possible, and am constantly inspired by how much everyone cares about our clients. After all, it’s that kind of passion that makes it easy to go the extra mile and create work we can be proud of.


Unlike the other Inkers, my ‘way with words’ applies more in a verbal sense, through expert communication and master negotiations. In fact, my step-mother maintains that what began as a telling off and a wooden spoon ended with her apologising to me as a six year old who had already learnt the ‘gift of the gab’.

Useful for more than just avoiding punishment, this skill has seen me work my way up in the business world, holding various Account Director and Business Development roles at a range of agencies. My strengths lie in truly understanding customer needs and getting the best out of people. I’m also unshakably reliable, as I feel strongly about my personal brand and delivering on what I say I will.

The team often thinks of me as the ‘secret weapon’ on the Intelligent Ink team, bringing real industry knowledge to the table, helping the team find efficiencies, keeping the internal cogs turning, and I’m often called in to contribute to brainstorming sessions. Personally, I believe that success is a habit, present in every detail of the day. As such, I enjoy pushing my boundaries and achieving things that others have said are impossible. Intelligent Ink provides this in its supportive team environment, and I’m proud to be a part of doing something special.
