An Amazing April
There’s been a lot of buzz around the office in April, and we’ve all been busy worker bees. Now that we’ve reached the first day of the new month, we thought it’d be good to reflect on all of the exciting things we’ve been up to in April.
Happy Birthday Intelligent Ink
On 1st April, Intelligent Ink celebrated its third birthday. Three years is a major milestone, so we decided to celebrate in style – with delicious, sweet cupcakes! (An obligatory picture of the scrummy cupcakes can be seen to the right.) Intelligent Ink’s third birthday was particularly exciting and emotional for Christina, our director, who began the company in the spare bedroom of her house in Sandringham. Intelligent Ink has certainly come a long way in three short years.
New Inkers
Marieke and Jennifer, the two new Inkers who joined us in February, have both settled in well. They now run several of their own accounts, and have carved out their own little areas of expertise.
Success in media
Moving on to media clippings, we’ve managed to get a staggering number of articles into magazines and newspapers in the last month. Most mornings, Marieke or Sarah have excitedly announced that a few more articles have been published – followed by a round of high-fives. Among the clippings that we’re particularly proud of are getting First Foundation into the Herald Business Section, arranging for three clients to get into M2 magazine, and local media coverage for YWCA Auckland across three papers for World YWCA Day.
Easter at Eastridge
When Easter came around, there was no time to slow down. One of our April projects was to organise an event for Eastridge Shopping Centre. Our Eastridge client wanted an Easter event held at their shopping mall that would include the whole family. So we called up the Easter Bunny and organised for her to show up. We also ran free Easter games and handed out chocolates. Post-event, we’re keeping people engaged with Eastridge Shopping Centre by running a Facebook competition to win a camera from one of their stores.
And lots of fun…
We also met the cool kids from Curative. We’re big fans of Curative, as they do beautiful design and organise some really interesting events. We split up into two mixed teams and played a very competitive game of Articulate, that featured a stallion, prefects, Voltaire, swordfish, Humphrey Bogart, and John Lennon…I’m sure I can’t remember who won though…
Unsurprisingly after all that, we’re looking forward to what May holds. We’ll be sure to keep you posted!
