Some parting words from our original Inker – Sarah Hitchings
My time at Intelligent Ink has been a period of massive personal growth. My early days began in Christina’s spare bedroom in November 2012 as the only other Inker and have spanned to our current home in our spacious, downtown office with five other Inkers. It has been an absolute trip.
Contributing to the business has been hugely rewarding for me, and I am proud that my influence will be felt long after I leave. Intelligent Ink’s clients have pushed me in ways that both challenged and excited me. Both professionally and personally, for a malleable PR mind like mine, this has been absolutely essential to my career progression. I am a better PR professional because of our clients.
Thank you to everyone who I have worked with and alongside, you have all had an impact. Steve Jobs said, “you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards.” The dots are you, your projects, your communication needs and objectives. It is your faith in the Intelligent Ink team that enables us to flourish and that teaches us so much, about the world around us, about the sphere you inhabit. This is an absolute privilege, and one that has taught me lessons and skills that I treasure.
I have gained knowledge, explored interests, dived into radically different cultures, learnt languages, made friends, sharpened my worldviews, learned to be efficient, and sent more than 6,000 emails while at Intelligent Ink. They say “it’s a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together.” I know I am the luckiest girl in the world, who was freely able to explore a PR career while utilising my passion for people, in an environment that embraced and celebrated me. Intelligent Ink will always remain an extraordinarily special place for me.
I trust that our paths will cross again, in many different capacities, in the most unexpected and delightful ways.
Thank you, sincerely.
